Course Objectives
Develops correct touch keying skills which in turn enhances efficiency and productivity and to comply with Irish Legislation with regard to VDU Health & Safety.

 

Content

• Introduction to keyboarding

• Keying Technique

• Numeric Construction: learning to key accurately, without looking at the keyboard.

• Numeric Consolidation: improving technique, increasing speed and developing accuracy.

• Emphasis is placed on correct posture and good ergonomics.

Note : This course can cater for inlaid, standard or reverse cluster keyboard.

 

Method
This is a self-paced course in which individuals learns to touch key on a computer keyboard at their own pace with tutor guidance in the minimum time.  Achievements will depend on participant application and their hand/eye co-ordination.
