~ Create and save new documents
~ Open existing documents
~ Edit existing documents

~ Enhancing text using: Bold, Italics, Underline, Fonts and Alignment.
~ Cut, copy, paste and delete text
~ Managing Line Spacing
~ Use and Creating Tabulations
~ Create Tables and Columns
~ Enhance page formatting: Headers/Footers, Page Breaks, PageNumbering
~ Use Spellcheck, Thesaurus, Grammar Check
~ Use bulleted and numbered lists
~ Use search and replace techniques
~ View and change page orientation and margins
~ View and edit in print preview
~ Basic Printing Techniques
~ File Management and House Keeping

This Course is aimed at those who have completed a Microsoft Word For Windows Introductory Course or who are very familiar with Microsoft Word and the Windows '95 environment.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The objective of this course is to give existing and practised Microsoft Word for Windows users a higher level of understanding and proficiency.

~ Overview of Microsoft Words working environment and concepts.
~ Creating, Editing and Printing an Autotext.
~ Recording, Suspending and Running a Macro.
~ Assigning a Macro to the Keyboard, Toolbar and Menu Bar.
~ Running a Template or Wizard, and loading a Global Template.
~ Sorting and Calculating data within a table.
~ Compiling an Index and Table of Contents.
~ Creating Footnotes, Endnotes and Cross References.
~ Inserting, Resizing and Cropping Graphics.
~ Defining, Editing and Formatting with Styles.
~ Advanced Mail Merge with Criteria Selection.
~ Using Microsoft Draw and Microsoft Graph.
~ Customising the Toolbar.
~ Importing and Exporting to and from other applications.
~ File Management and House Keeping.
